Rangimarie has considerable experience in commercial ventures having been manager and developer of major investment initiatives, both Maori and non-Maori. She has had wide exposure to lending and advisory work in many business sectors. Rangimarie has travelled extensively and has worked for an international finance organisation.

More recently, Rangiamarie has been involved with strategically developing and implementing Maori tribal business investments.

Rangimarie holds a number of commercial and not-for-profit Board positions covering many sectors including, property, fishing, tourism and business development.
